Pack-aging melt adhesives

The customer has purchased a new machine, the machine has been installed with the current hot melt, other manufacturer 8453, and this has been found to slow setting at the machine builder. After this, competitor packaging hotmelt 5701 has been used. Advice a hotmelt adhesive with high setting speed and hot melts that are lower viscous to enable high valve speeds.

RESULTS

The hot melts we tested: competitor 5701, 8453, the HM1 and HMK 508. The results are as follows:

The above table shows that the competitor 5701 is not faster than competitor 8453, HM1 also equals the competitor 5701.

Probably the HMK 508 be the best alternative for this application because it is middle between all setting speeds.

COMMENTS AND CONCLUSION

Conclusion: The HMK 508 s the best alternative for this application.
