metallocene hot melt - metallocene catalyst polymerisation
The new Futura Hot-melt range are based on a polymer range obtained through a new polymerisation technology, known as metallocene catalyst polymerisation. The metallocene polymer used in some Futura hot melts has some unique properties like
high heat stability,
low molecular weight
sharp melting curve

Futura hot melts have always been the best packaging hotmelts for:

•total cost reduction
•rationalisation of purchased materials (hihg versatility, extremely wide operating window)
•increase production line speeds (shorter compression time)
•trouble free production lines (no nozzle blockages, no need for fine-tuning)
•low maintenance costs (now coaling inside the hotmelt system, for several years no maintenaince needed)
•safety issues (e.g. fumes)

General characteristics of Futura hot-melt adhesives:

•high heat stability
•no char
•viscosity stability
•White initial colour and colour stability
•superior machineability (fits on 95% of all packaging machinery)
•flowing performance and superior jetting, no spitting.
•potential higher production line speeds, lower compression time.
•reduced consumption of hotmelt, better fine tuning on adhesive saving.
•excellent bonding, even on deep freeze kraftliner corrugated board
•improved fibre tear compared to EVA or Polyolefine based products
•good adhesion to difficult substrates like UV, PE and PP
•low (deepfreeze) and high (export) temperature resistance
